3. On the 26th January, 1900, I was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn.
4. I have also passed the Hongkong Civil Service examinations in Chinese under the 2nd and higher Standard. I beg to annex a copy of Certificate of the Sixth and final examination.
5. I beg also to annex copy of two letters I received from the Colonial Office dated the 22nd April, 1899 and the 25th July 1899, respectively in connection with my application for promotion in the Hongkong Civil Service.
