The Government will appoint an Overseer to
supervise the work. He will be under your instructions but will be paid by Government.
The Government will pay you at the rate of 5% on the entire cost of the work after deducting the value of payments made in England for materials obtained from there and omitting the cost of resuming lands.
The Government will further pay 12% for quantities required to enable contracts to be entered into locally. The 1% will be reckoned on the amount of the tender which may be accepted for such work. The Government will call for tenders shortly as soon as the necessary documents have been prepared.
The precise form of contract to be entered
into between the Government and the contractors will be determined in a few days' time.
