which it is hoped, may have the effect of lessening the price
of food.
The only alteration in the law, so far as I can see at present, which would be rendered necessary by the suggested transfer of the Slaughter houses from the control of the Government lessee to the Sanitary Board, would be the repeal of the Bye-laws in Schedule B to Ordinance 7 of 1887 as since altered and amended, and the substitution of new Bye-laws therefor,
omitting all reference to the Government lessee.
