The two seamen Hooker and Johannsen proceeding from Manila to Hongkong were paid off from the Ship "Celeste Burrell" owing to false statements on their part that they were proceeding at their own expense to Hongkong.
Hooker has some money and I will be responsible for any expenses (in moderation) incurred by the other.
