In continuation of my letter No.1488 of the 15th instant, I am directed to inform you that His Excellency the General Officer Commanding is prepared to submit the terms, proposed by Admiral Sir E. Seymour in his letter of the 30th ultimo, for the consideration of the Secretary of State for War: but that, before so doing he desires that the attached copy of these and other terms should be signed by the Dock Company as accepted, subject to the approval of the Secretary of State.
2. In view of your letter of the 11th instant, I enclose a copy of these terms for your signature and return.
3. It should, however, be clearly understood that, pending further instructions from home, the continued occupation of any War Department land by your Company is subject to the terms originally approved.
