Your Excellency,

Headquarters, Hongkong, 14th June, 1901.

In continuation of my reply dated 8th April, 1901, No.1811-5-22, to Your Excellency's letter No.66/3, of the 9th April 1901, I have the honour to forward for your information a copy of correspondence received from the Commander-in-Chief suggesting certain modifications, in so far as the Admiralty are concerned, of the terms on which the War Department land at Kowloon Dock Battery, should be transferred to the Colonial Government.

2. In my letter above mentioned I pointed out to Your Excellency that, the Treasury and Tar Office having approved the transfer on the terms referred to in your letter No.75/0, dated 27th August, 1900, it was not in my power to alter them.
