AUG OF

A

Police Office,

Sir,

28 June 1907.

From the Capt. Supt. of Police to Colonial Secretary.

A

You

gave up my

leave last Spring principally to investigate the

case of the murder of

the Reforme's Yinn Wan, which happened

on the 10th

of January

last.

"Since that date the utmost endeavours

have been made

to bring some

of the guilty

parties to justice, but I regret to say

that

only a small measure of

success has attended

these efforts."

Nevertheless I think the attached

papers which comprise all the evidence that I

have been able

to obtain show fairly clearly

at whose instigation and by whose connivance

the crime
