The Wai Yuen was present all the time. He was a very tall man and very robust and stout aged about 50, he had a brown face and not ruddy. He spoke with the Cantonese accent. I don't know whether he was a civil or a military officer. Ng said he was a Wai Yuen of the Fu Tai of Canton. I promised to do it. If I had not promised he would have had me arrested. Then he gave me $20 as expenses. The Wai Yuen handed out the $20 to Ng Lo Sam who handed them to me.
The next day I went to Yeung Kui Wan's house with Wong Ping, the uncle of Wong Iu Ting, and told him that Ng Lo Sam had asked me to kill him and said to him that he had better run away. He answered "I am not afraid." Wong Ping was present during the conversation. On the 24th of the 9th moon 1900, I went to Siam.
