in a conspiracy to blow up the Governor's Yamen and

seize the opportunity to commence operations. They

concealed a quantity of dynamite in a house in the

Hou Lou Fang street, the explosion of which killed

several people. The scheme was also to blow up the

Tartar General's Yamen, Treasurer's Yamen, and the

Kwan Yin Hill Powder Magazine inside the city wall,

and the Arsenal, but it was not accomplished. Yeung

Chu Yun had appointed prisoner chief leader and

director for Canton City and directed him to superintend

the transmission of funds. Prisoner also said

that they had for name and sign "The Guild of China's

Exaltation".

Shih Ching Ju was executed, sanction having been

duly obtained, and the members of the confederacy

disclosed by the evidence are being rigorously

hunted down.

A detective now reports the discovery that the arch

criminal Yang Chu Yun is now concealing himself in

Hong Kong and again collecting confederates with a

view to making trouble.

Thus he is guilty of great and abominable crime;

and as the detective has discovered that this man is

concealed in Hong Kong, it is of immediate necessity

that he be arrested and dealt with so that the

principal in the crime may be punished.

But Hong Kong is foreign territory and it is not
