4 The Master and Mistress: should be out here not later than 1st. January, 1902: but if they could come out by the middle of September and Government would sanction a supplementary estimate for their salaries (etc.) for the last 3 months of this year, that would be a preferable arrangement.
5. I have seen Mr. Reid, Secretary of the Kowloon School Committee. He is anxious that the Master should have had a Scottish education, and begs that the Crown Agents may be requested to communicate with D. Calderwood, Esq., Principal of the Church of Scotland Training College, Edinburgh.
I think that his wishes might be met in this matter.
