In answer to my letters from the 18th. of December, 1900, and 18th. of January, 1901, I have received your letter from December 13th., 1900, with the enclosed letter of Ahrens.
I suppose you have received in the meantime my payment from the German Consul in Hongkong so that I have no- thing more to do in this matter.
I have sent a copy of the letter from Ahrens to the German Consulate at Hongkong and I beg you to treat with him in future about every-thing regarding Ahrens.
I am astonished that you did not give the letter of Ahrens at once to the Consul, as the contents are quite reasonable and the patient only begs to be dismissed from your Institution.
I would thank you very much for a few lines mentioning how the patient is doing now and if you have received my payment.
