I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt
of your despatch No.91 of 15th.March last and to inform you
that the effect of the proposals made in my despatch No.13 of
the 12th. January last will be to add an Assistant Superintend-
ent to the Fire Brigade.
2. This officer would be a Police Officer who
would receive an addition of $360 a year to his Police pay.
3. As I am not aware of any objection to this
proposal, and your despatch under acknowledgment does not ad-
vance any objection which I might have removed, I request that
I may have your sanction of the proposals in question.
