In reply to your Despatch No. 54 of
the 15th. ultimo, I have the honour to inform you that
the late Mr. J. R. Grimble had an opportunity of contri-
buting to the Widows and Orphans' Pension Fund, and that
there is therefore no reason for granting the request
of his widow that an allowance may be made to her,
