I have the honour to transmit for
your consideration the enclosed copy of a letter from the
Land Officer concerning certain alterations rendered
Recessary in the form of Crown Lease by the death of
Her late Majesty the Queen.

The only Letters Patent in force
Enel: 2
are those of 1888 which authorize grants of land 'in
the name of Her Majesty" and do not authorize grants in
the name of Her Majesty's Successors.
3.
I am advised, however, that the
recital of Letters Patent may be omitted from Crow
Leases at present, and that it is competent for me,
in
view of the recent proclamation by His Majesty the King,
to issue Crown Leases in His Majesty's name without
waiting for express authority.

close a copy of a form of Crown Lease as mended by the
