I have the honour to inform you I learn from the "China mail" by the 16th
of Hebrecary last that in your letter of the 8th of December 1999 to His Excellency the Governor, you have been pleased to ghant to the masters of Queen's College / as well as
certain other officials) an mcrease of Salary on account of the great rise in prices on all necessaries in the Colony.
As I was away from the Colony, in sich leave. when the petition was forwarded, I had not the opportunity of pletting ma claim for an increase on my
own behalf. I trust however Night Honourable Six that you will allow me to forward a petition nord, and that you will give it your hindest consideration.
