The differences between the amounts estimated and
realised under Heads and Sub-Heads are shown in the
accompanying Detailed Statement of Revenue.

Expenditure.
The total Expenditure of $3,162,792*36, exceeded
the total Estimate by $288,520.56, and was greater than
the Expenditure of 1898 by $320,987*16.
The excesses on the various Heads amounting in gross
as shown in the Account, to $506,042 28, have been duly
provided for by Supplementary Appropriation Ordinance,
(No 21 of 1900), with the exception of a net excess of
$60,371.30 on the Head "Military Expenditure", due to the
fact that the contribution to the Imperial Government in
ald of Military Expenditure is based on the Revenue of the
Colony,
which exceeded the Estimate.

herewith.
