I am directed by the Local Government Board to
advert to your letter of the 16th ultimo, enclosing copy
of the Quarantine Regulations embodied in the new
Merchant Shipping Ordinance of Hong Kong; and in for-
warding for the information of Mr. Secretary Chamberlain
the enclosed copy of a minute on the subject by the
Bound Board's Medical Officer, I am to state that the concur
in the criticisms contained therein.
The Ordinance is returned herewith.
