Petition from Edith Mary Hallowell Carew in Aylesbury
Convict Prison.
To the Right Honourable Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for
the Home Department.
Sir,
I most respectfully ask that Dr. Counsel of 1, Hare
Court, Temple, E.C. may be allowed to see a copy of the rule
respecting my sentence, as read to me on my reception into the
Victoria Gaol, Hong-Kong, by the Acting-Governor.
Dr. Counsel, who is acting on my behalf, has instructed
me to petition for him. I trust therefore with your kind
permission that my petition may be granted.
