It is hereby agreed by and between the under-
signed as follows:
1. The Michi-yei-gumi will supply 1,000 long
hand carts, viz: 500 lat class and 500 2nd class as
per samples and will deliver the same on shore at
Tongku set up, oiled and ready for use, on or before
the 2nd day of August proximo, for the sum of Yen
Thirty-one thousand.
2. Payment shall be made as follows:

For transport charges viz:-
Charter of special steamer, insurance of the
goods to full contract amount, and all landing
charges, inclusive of lighters and towage the sum
of Twelve thousand Yen shall be paid to the Nichi-
Yei-Gumi at Kobe immediately after the departure of
the steamer.
b. One half of the price of the carts ahall
be paid at Kobe, after inspection and shipment, and
the remaining half shall be paid at Kobe immediately
