We have today received a letter from the Firmingham Mint, Limited, informing us that they will be unable to ship the usual fortnightly instalment of 10 cent pieces this week for the Government of Hong Kong as they have received intimations from you not to ship them until further assays
have been made.
I shall feel obliged by your informing me whether
this statement is correct and, if so, what is the cause of
the stoppage.
