I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of
your letter of the 17th instant No.30014/1900 relative to the weight of the silver subsidiary coin recently supplied to Hong Kong by the Birmingham Mint.
We have been in communication with the Birmingham Mint by which the coins were supplied and with the Deputy Master of the Royal Mint under whose inspection the coinage has been executed, and I enclose copies of their replies.
