In continuation of our letter of the 11th of July,
I have the honour to enclose a copy of a letter received
from the War Department respecting the proposed issue of
six .303 guns in exchange for six 45 guns, to be returned

by the Government of Hong Kong for conversion, and to request
Mr Secretary Chamberlain's instructions as to whether the
arrangement proposed by the War Department should be agreed
to.
