In reply to your letter of 13th instant,
No 22486, and its enclosures, relative to the proposed
adoption of the Marconi system for telegraphic communication
between Taku and Chemulpo : I am commanded by my Lords Comm-
isaioners of the Admiralty to request you will represent to
the Secretary of State that they have no sets of this appar-
atus available for the desired purpose, and that, even were
they forthcoming, it would be quite impossible to detail suffic-
ient Ships of War to keep up «mmunication by this means,
