The lot which they have already
purchased as reported in my despatch No.165 of the 20th.
they were April, having been sold on a 99 years lease; naturally anxious to obtain a similar Concession in the present case, and having regard to the fact that the land is to be used in connection with the same enterprise I was of opinion that a similar lease might properly be
granted in this case.

The land will be put up to auction
at a premium of 10 cents a square foot and crown rent at the rate of $375 an acre (amounting to $ 4503) and with e proviso that $100,000 is spent on the property in rate- able improvements within 4 years,
The squatters referred to in the Di-
rector of Public Works' minute will be satisfactorily
compensated
by the purchaser.
