Sir,
I have the honour to recom-
mend that in accordance: with clause 23 of the Widows' and
Orphans' Pension Fund Ordinance 1900 an actuary be now ap-
pointed for the purpose of adjusting and revising the ta-
bles contained in the Schedule to that Ordinance.
I would suggest thet nomination
by you should be preliminary to the appointment by Govern-
or in Council, and that the nomination be made as early as
possible to allow the Treasury Department to proceed with
the necessery work shortly after the end of the year.
