sir,

I have the honour to acknoTMledge

the receipt of your despatch No.205 of the 27th June re-

garding the selection of Mr.Bagg as Wardmaster in the Kennedy Torn liospital, and to inform you that I have duly

furnished him with s. letter of appointment as requested

in paragraph 3 thereof.

2. As it was advisable that Mr.

Bagg's services should be available in other Government

hospitals in the Colony as well as that to which he was

primarily appointed, I caused him to be asked whether he

would agree to this slight modification of the original terms of his appointment. He agreed to this on condition

that the Gaol Department should be excepted, and he has

accordingly been appointed Wardmaster in the Government

Medical Department.

3. I regret that as pointed out in

paragraph 4 of your despatch under acknowledgment, the paper of particulars enclosed in my despatch No.59 of the 16th.February was incompletely drawn up, and the attention

of the Medical Department has been drawn to the errors

therein made.

4. With reference to peragraph

I have to inform you that Mr.Course left the service

on the 2nd. Mey, having refunded the cost of his passage

to the Colony, and although Mr.Tuohy does not leave until

September
