Report by the Acting Harbour

Master

The idea appears to be quite

feasible, and the extra cost would not be great, as, to

convert the lights into either flashing or occulting

lights only a small attachment with clockwork motion

is necessary.

Revolving lights would be out of

the question, entailing as they do, new lanterns and re- chinery which would run into a large figure.

I would suggest that Cape D'Agui-

lar light, whershifted to Green Island, should show a

light occulting for 5 seconds everyhalf minute, and Green Island light, when shifted to Cape Collinson, show

a light giving a 3 second flash every ten seconds.

Thus each of our lighthouses

would be quite destinctive.

The new Collinson Light would

still have to show a fixed red sector over the Bokhara

Rock, which could very easily be arranged.
