The idea appears to be quite
feasible, and the extra cost would not be great, as, to
convert the lights into either flashing or occulting
lights only a small attachment with clockwork motion
is necessary.
Revolving lights would be out of
the question, entailing as they do, new lanterns and re- chinery which would run into a large figure.
I would suggest that Cape D'Agui-
lar light, whershifted to Green Island, should show a
light occulting for 5 seconds everyhalf minute, and Green Island light, when shifted to Cape Collinson, show
a light giving a 3 second flash every ten seconds.
Thus each of our lighthouses
would be quite destinctive.
The new Collinson Light would
still have to show a fixed red sector over the Bokhara
Rock, which could very easily be arranged.
