of State that the Nursing Institute Wing be built by
Government, the cost being defrayed out of the revenues of
the Colony and the Jubilee Committee handing over to
Government any avilable balance after completing the Hos-
pital.
I would point out that there are good
grounds for the recommendation as the Barker Road scheme
includes a house for a Resident Surgeon on completion of
which the Government will be relieved of the payment of
$720 per annum for "house allowance" to the officer who
will occupy it.
If this sum be capitalized at 5% it amounts
to $14,400 which should be ample for the construction of
the Wing in High Street.
