On that date your Petitioner having been passed over

for promotion and feeling annoyed at seeing a Junior

Officer pointed over him, foolishly tendered his

resignation, giving as a reason for se doing the

excessive night duty.

His resignation was accepted

and thereby as your Petitioner admits that strictly

speaking he forfeited all claim to the benefit of

his past services.

Your Petitioner most respectfully submits that during

the six years and three months he served in the General.

Prisons Service both in Her Majestys Prison in

Belfast, Ireland, and in this Colong, he discharged

the duties of his office with diligence and fidelity to
