Pre 25 JUN 00:
Hon. Mr.Oxmsby,
Director of Public Works,
Hongkong.
Dear Sir,
I have the honour to inform you that I should like
to purchase 15000 square ft. of the piece of ground yesterday
surveyed. I think I can safely say that the Society which I
represent, "The Hildesheim Hission for Blind Girls in China”
will put up a building worth $10,000 on the ground to be
purchased. The building to be erected is to be for the sole
benefit of Chinese blind girls who will be gathered into a sokool
hence I should like to ask the Colonial Government through
you that the Crown Rent be remitted or at least reduced as in
the case of other Mission Schools in the Colony.
I further think that we should be able to erect such
a building as above described in about two years' time. You
will therefore oblige me, if you will as soon as convenient
put up the piece of land to auction so that I may be mbla to
purchase the same in my name for the Sodiety I represent.
If the above statements should not be clear will
you not planse address any question to xə at the above address.
I have etc.,
(Bd.) M. Postlar,
