SIR,

I have the honour, by direction of the Officer Administering the Government, to inform you that His Excellency has been pleased, to appoint you provisionally to be First Clerk at the Magistracy on a salary of one thousand nine hundred and Twenty Dollars per aunum.

The security required from you for the fulfilment of your duties will be Five hundred Dollars.

I am to add that it is a condition of the appointment that you are to occupy the rooms above the Magistracy, and that, if the Magistracy should at any time be removed, and there should not be Quarters availablo in th new building, an allowance of Thirty Dollars a month will be given i lien of quarters, on condition of your residing in the neighbourhood c the Magistracy.
