Colonial Secretary's Office,
HongKong, 4th.May, 1900.
Gentlemer,
烨
I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of
your letter of the 23rd.March in which you allege that one
of Messrs Siemssen and Company's trademarks is a copy of
your label for mustard, and to inform you that as you have
neither registered your trade mark in this Colony nor trans-
mitted a copy of it for inspection, it is impossible for this
Government to take any action in the matter.
I am to state however that the Colonial Office
would no doubt permit you to see a copy of the HongKong
Trade Marks Ordinance and Rules: if you are unable to obtain
a copy elsewhere, and you can then take such steps in the
matter as are recommended by your legal adviser.
>
I have etc,
(Sd.)F.H.May,
Acting Colonial Secretary.
ESSES. C. AND E. MORTON,
LONDON.
