Referring to Sir H. A. Blake's despatch No.206

of the 31st of July 1899, I have the honour to recommend

that as the steam tender, or larger of the steam launches therein referred to, is now approaching completion, r.W.

Robinson, who has been employed as Master of the Chartered

Irunch "Wing Foo", which has been performing the work for

which the new vessel is required, be appointed Master of

the steam tender at a salary of $1,800 per annum, being

the amount he is ct present receiving as provided in the

Estimates for the year unter the heading "Stan Launches"

in the Harbour Department, and placed on the pertinent Establishment.

Mr. Robinson, who holds a Master's certificate,

is well spoken of by the Harbour Marber, who recommended

that Mr. Robinson should be placed on the Fixed Establishment.
