With. reference to your despatch No.280
of the 8th. December last relative to the salaries of
various officers in the Government Service, I have the
honour to transmit for your information the enclosed
Schedule shewing how the revised scale of salaries will
benefit each of the officers who were dealt with in that
despatch.
The total amount of money which had to
be appropriated for this purpose over and above the
Estimates for this year was $26, 189 which sum was unanimous-
ly voted by the Legislative Council at the meeting held on
29th.Mrch, 1900.
