Note:- Boys who show great aptitude will be required to

study for three years with a view to qualifying for the

translatorships or the first class interpreterships.

Unless living with their parents,

student-interpreters will reside in quarters to be approved

by the Registrar-General.

Reports will be made every six months as

progess made by student-interpreters in their studies

to the proges

by the Headmaster of Queen's College and by the Registrar-

General. Continued idleness will render the student interpre

ter liable to be dismissed and to be required to refund

half the expense of his education. To provide for such a

contingency student-interpreters must enter into a bond on

their appointment. Student-interpreters who fail through

want of natural ability to make proper progress will be

dismissed with one month's notice.

On passing the prescribed examinațion

student-interpreters will be appointed 3rd. class interpret

ters. During the first two years after their appointment they

may be required to attend three months each year at the

Registrar-General's Office for special instruction, and in
