I am to state that a married candidate for the post Mr. Chambulan will be prepared to offer the appointment to any married man you may recommend.

4. In the event of a married man being appointed, a free passage to the Colony will be provided for his wife and family not exceeding the usual number. The former will be informed that free quarters for himself and his family will be provided at the expense of Government or an allowance will be granted in lieu thereof.
