In the Official Despatch 26108 the recommended & approved was $1920.
But it seems pretty clear from this Despatch that the Salary at last approved & that Mr Rosario was informed.
$2000 a year involves an inconvenient fractional rate viz $166.62 a month: but I think as $2000 seems practically to have been promised to him it is rather hard luck to give him less.
As it appears from the subsequent Paper that he has had only $1920 for over 2 years, I think it would not be unfair to give him $2040 a year in future. This would avoid the practical
