Immediately on receipt of the information I sent for the Rev. M. Schaub, who is in charge of the mission, from whom I learned that a band of five hundred robbers have established themselves at a place about five miles to the East of Ki Long. Some of them came to that village about the 20th January and asked questions about the missing Foreigner.

3. On the night of the 25th January the Missionary in charge of the station saw two men lurking about the compound. He fired a revolver in the air and the men decamped. On that night the robbers attacked and robbed the house of a rich man.
