No. 36.

DAINA

Hongkong,

Enclosure 1. 11th Jany.

1900

Enclosure 2.

Sir,

I have the honour to transmit for your consideration the enclosed copy of a letter from Mr. O.V. Ladds, Colonial Veterinary Surgeon, in which he points out that his name is omitted from the schedule according to which professional officers joining the Colonial Civil Service in certain capacities are allowed the credit of an additional number of years, according to their qualifications. This schedule was drawn up under clause 3, paragraph 2, of the Pension Rules published in Government Notification No.452 of 1895, a copy of which I attach.

GN 452 of 25th October, 1895.

2. As Mr. Ladds believes that his name was omitted from the schedule owing to an oversight, I have the honour to ask for instructions as to whether it may now be added.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient

Humble Servant,

Henry Arthur Blake

GOVERNOR, &C.

To

The Right Honourable

JOSEPH CHAMBERLAIN, M.P.,
