With reference to the letters from this department of the 7th September last and of the 27th ultimo, I have directed by Mr. Secretary Chamberlain to transmit to you for the consideration of their Lordships a despatch from the Governor of Hongkong on the subject of the proposed Admiralty Reserve at Black Rock Point.
I am to ask whether, in view of the cost which will be entailed on naval facilities, their Lordships are still desirous of acquiring this land for Admiralty purposes.
