I would humbly submit that my papers may be reconsidered, with a view of granting the additional term. I am allowed to state that my actions have been entirely in accord with Clause 3, para. 2 of Decision alluded to, and although the designation of office, for a short period of the service, does not agree, still, the duties connected with my full service were such as requiring like qualifications.
Referring to my service between years 1884-6, as Valuator and Assessor, I would mention that particular reference was made to new funds with a very inadequate staff, bringing what had hitherto been little better than confusion and chaos, into order, as may be instanced by the increase in assessment during those years, viz: - $160,000.
I have the honour to be,
Your most obedient servant,
Chas. Malsch.
