prosecuted two men for acting as Marine Store dealers without having the requisite licence, they

were Convicted, please see

Formerly there

were only five licensed Marine Store dealers in the Colony, through my

efforts in this

and

subsequent cases,

there were

thirty licensed dealers in the Colony when I left for home on leave, each one paying $180 per Annum for his license,

was made to this subject in the Captain Superintendent's report for

the

Year 1895, under heading "Licenses,

Having borne

a

good character

during my Police Service extending

over eleven

years,

and

in view

of

my Services

rendered,

I beg most respectfully

that my case may be further considered.
