When I spoke to you on the subject of last week the dismissal, with loss of pension, of Sergeant Major Altar Singh, one of the Police Force of Hongkong, who had served in it for eighteen years, you said that you would be good enough to look into the case again if I wrote about it.
I beg to enclose herewith for that purpose a memorandum, containing a brief narrative of his case, as I beg to lay before you the fact that the man was charged with receiving hush money.
