Details of them account for the free furnishing and the general disbursing work of the Hospital,
and in the absence of the Apothecary and Analyst will take charge and have sole control of the Hospital Pharmacy and Government Laboratory. The emoluments are $1800 a year, with Exchange Compensation Allowance, and an allowance to bring up one half of his salary to the value of (Para. 3.) the dollar. Furnished bachelor quarters will be provided at the Hospital, and a yearly allowance of $114 for light and fuel. A passage free to the Colony will be granted, and the term of service will be for 3 years, with return passage at the end of that period.
If the officer is continued after the expiry of the three years' service, his emoluments will be raised to $1920 a year, with Exchange Compensation Allowance and the additional allowances specified above.
The usual privileges, with other advantages, will be enjoyed by the Government Laboratory Superintendent.
