on being informed that he has been formally certified
insane, and on the understanding that the expenses of his
removal and maintenance would be defrayed by the Colonial
Authorities.
It should be borne in mind that Bithrey
could not be detained in Broadmoor after the expiration
of his sentence, and if he were still insane and had to be
removed to an ordinary Asylum as a Pauper Lunatic,
questions might arise as to the responsibility for the
cost of his continued maintenance.
