The Court fittings have been arranged upon a plan which has been found to work conveniently in England but with the exception of the Dock (which is an integral portion of the structural arrangements) these may of course be varied to suit local views and customs.

As the working drawings are to be prepared in Hong Kong, no attempt has been made to show the sanitary fittings in the Lavatories or the cisterns (if required) in the roofs. All such details can be best dealt with on the spot.

It only remains to say that in calculating the constructive steel work, a tensile strain of 28 to 32 tons has been assumed; that the floors are calculated at 24 cwt per foot, including weight of floor; and that the weight upon the four granite piers, including wind pressure, will be nearly 15 tons per square foot at the floor level.
