I hear you are receiving applications for the post of Sanitary Inspector at Hong Kong. I beg to submit mine with the following particulars.

Experience: Trained Science Teacher till June 1891. Went to United States of America & assisted relative R Chadwick building contractors, since returned, owing family reasons, have studied under Mr Daly chief inspector of Bootle & Art Buist late inspector to Liverpool Corporation at the Liverpool School of Hygiene Victoria University. Have for the past twelve months been employed under the Liverpool Corporation. Beside holding a number of certificates including Mechanics Mathematics Advanced Physiology & Hygiene from South Kensington, I also hold the following Certificate
Sanitary Institute.

University Certificate of Sanitary knowledge.
Surveying Certificate, position 3rd on List.
As it has been my desire to obtain practical experience in Bacteriology, I have for the past two years been getting practical experience under Professor Boyce, with a view to getting my Victoria Certificate endorsed for Infectious diseases which I have studied under Dr Joseph.
