Referring to your letter No. 25516/98 of the 27th December last requesting us to recommend a candidate for appointment as Inspector of Nuisances in Hong Kong, I have the honour to transmit herewith a copy of a letter from our Consulting Engineer submitting the name of Mr Joseph Henry Dandy, of the Public Health Department, Municipal Buildings, Dale Street, Liverpool, as a desirable person for the post.
Mr Dandy's original application is also enclosed for the information of the Secretary of State.
Mr Dandy has not been medically examined.
