I do not altogether like the proposal to alter the conditions of appointment in order to select some one who has done work for "relative R. Chadwick should probably be sent a job.
As it is, however, I think we may accept the bona fides of the recommendation and appoint J. Dandy. He is one of five candidates nominated by the Council of the Sanitary Institute, and was chosen out of the 47 by the M.O.H. and his former officer bears a high character.
