Dear Ampitill,
Since writing to you this morning about the question, I have received a letter from Dilkes. It seems there is a dispute between 2 Colonels about the matter.
We have discovered that the issue dates back to 28 Oct 1893. A copy of the letter was sent by Co. on 9 Oct 93.
I think this is relevant to the case between them, and I will continue to look into the matter.
